Privacy Policy

How RaiseRace collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information.

Effective September 1, 2026 · Version 2026-09-01-v2

1. Scope and roles

This Privacy Policy applies to RaiseRace services operated by Nakea Consulting, LLC, 1567 29th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98199. RaiseRace generally acts as a processor or service provider for client nonprofit campaign, participant, donor-relationship, and communication data. RaiseRace acts as an independent business or controller for account administration, security, fraud prevention, billing, support, and legal compliance.

Client nonprofits have separate privacy responsibilities and may provide additional notices governing their use of donor, participant, and supporter information.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and identity information, including name, email, organization, role, authentication identifiers, and security settings.
  • Campaign and participation information, including teams, profiles, submissions, images, videos, scores, votes, rankings, goals, and messages.
  • Donation and transaction information, including amount, currency, recipient, payment status, cost-coverage choice, receipt information, refunds, disputes, and Stripe identifiers. RaiseRace does not store raw card or bank credentials.
  • Device, usage, log, and security information, including IP address, browser, timestamps, request identifiers, audit events, and suspected abuse.
  • Support, communication, preference, and complaint information.

3. How we use information

  • Provide campaigns, contests, payment integrations, receipts, leaderboards, reporting, account administration, and support.
  • Authenticate users, enforce permissions and tenant separation, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the service.
  • Reconcile payments, refunds, disputes, fees, payouts, and provider notifications.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment-network, contractual, and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability, accessibility, security, and performance.

4. How we disclose information

RaiseRace discloses information to the client nonprofit administering the campaign; to teams, participants, or the public as directed by the user and campaign settings; and to service providers that support authentication, hosting, payments, communications, security, and support.

Core providers include Stripe, Clerk, and Amazon Web Services. RaiseRace may also disclose information to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate misuse, protect people or the service, enforce agreements, or complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

RaiseRace does not sell personal information for money or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Public information and donor choices

Campaign, team, participant, contestant, score, ranking, and approved supporter information may be public. Donor name, donor message, and permission for organizer contact are separate choices and are off by default. Removing public display does not remove records RaiseRace or the nonprofit must retain.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

RaiseRace and its providers use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, payments, preferences, and service operation. Additional information and available choices appear in the Cookie Notice.

7. Retention

RaiseRace retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and financial records, comply with legal and contractual obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service. Retention depends on the type of information, the relationship, legal requirements, and the purposes for which it was collected.

When information is no longer required, RaiseRace deletes or de-identifies it in accordance with applicable law and operational backup cycles. Certain transaction, consent, security, dispute, and audit records may be retained after account closure or a deletion request where required or permitted by law.

8. Security and international processing

RaiseRace uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, tenant scoping, audit records, provider-hosted payment entry, monitoring, and backups. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where RaiseRace or its providers operate. Where required, RaiseRace uses appropriate contractual or legal transfer safeguards.

9. Privacy rights

Depending on location and applicable law, a person may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information; object to certain processing; opt out of non-essential marketing; or appeal a denied request. RaiseRace may verify identity and authority before acting.

If RaiseRace processes information solely for a client nonprofit, RaiseRace may direct the request to that nonprofit. RaiseRace will not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

10. Children

RaiseRace is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information without legally sufficient authorization. Organizations involving minors are responsible for obtaining required parent or guardian permission and limiting public information about minors.

11. Changes and contact

RaiseRace may update this Privacy Policy and will post material changes with a revised effective date and additional notice where required.

Privacy requests, appeals, and questions may be submitted through the Contact and Complaint Process or to support@nakeadigital.com or +1 888-625-3230. Written correspondence may be sent to 1567 29th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98199.
