RaiseRace policy

Official Contest Rules

The baseline rules for RaiseRace trivia, skill, performance, fundraising, and Donation Voting contests.

Effective September 1, 2026 · Version 2026-09-01-v2

1. Sponsor and applicable rules

The client nonprofit identified on the contest page is the sponsor and administrator of the contest. These baseline rules apply with the campaign-specific rules published before participation opens. Campaign-specific rules control for contest details if they do not conflict with these rules, applicable law, or RaiseRace policies.

Campaign-specific rules must identify eligibility, geographic limits, dates and time zone, entry or participation method, scoring or voting method, ties, disqualification, result review, recognition or prizes, publicity and privacy choices, accessibility, cancellation, and sponsor contact.

2. No chance-based promotions

RaiseRace does not operate or support drawings, raffles, sweepstakes, lotteries, bingo, or promotions in which chance determines a winner. A donation does not buy an entry, chance, or improved odds. Legacy drawing data, if present, is retained only as historical audit data and cannot be used to conduct a new drawing.

3. Participation and donations

Participation requirements must be stated in the campaign-specific rules. A donation is voluntary, benefits the nonprofit regardless of contest outcome, and is governed by the Donor Terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Donation Voting assigns the disclosed votes to confirmed whole-dollar donations. Optional transaction-cost coverage creates no votes. Pending, failed, refunded, reversed, or disputed amounts are treated according to their verified status.

4. Entries, content, and fair play

Participants must have the rights and permissions required for submitted names, images, music, video, stories, and personal information. Entries must comply with the Acceptable-Use and Prohibited-Campaign Policy.

Bots, fake accounts, fraudulent payments, collusion, bribery, harassment, tampering, misleading content, and manipulation of answers, scores, votes, or results are prohibited. The sponsor may disqualify conduct under its published rules and must document material decisions.

5. Results and corrections

Trivia results follow recorded answers, timing, scoring, and authorized corrections. Donation Voting follows confirmed eligible donation totals and the published tie-break. Results remain subject to review until the sponsor certifies them.

RaiseRace preserves the original transaction and result history. Authorized refunds, reversals, disqualifications, and score corrections are recorded as separate adjustments rather than silently rewriting historical records.

6. Recognition, prizes, and cancellation

The standard service supports rankings, certificates, trophies, and recognition with no material monetary value. A cash or material prize requires RaiseRace’s prior written approval and complete sponsor rules addressing eligibility, taxes, delivery, substitutions, and applicable law.

The sponsor may pause, modify, or cancel a contest for a documented legal, safety, fraud, technical, or force-majeure reason. It must provide appropriate notice and may not retroactively change rules to favor a participant. Donation handling remains governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
